This piece is all about the glow of late afternoon sun, with abstracted Californian poppies. Peach, butter yellow and terracotta tones layer together with soft neutrals and leafy greens. I love how this painting has a warm, grounded energy.
The abstract flowers are painted in my layered style, with a textured background created using a textile squeegee. It's a subtle nod to my roots in fashion and textile design. This original painting is playful and pretty.
