"It's Water, I Promise" is an original painting inspired by the little glimmers in life. You know those moments where you think “I’m so lucky/ glad/ grateful…”.
One of those moments for me was when my husband came home from a work trip and said “go have some you time, I’ve got the kids”. I threw a book, my water bottle, my sunglasses and a towel into a bag and trotted off to the beach. Bliss.
It was such a simple moment, but I took the time to bask in the feeling of gratitude. This sketch above reminded me of that moment. A new exploration in colour for me and I am here for it!
The brush strokes are loose and free, the colour palette is more contrasting with sunshine yellow and rich purple rounded out by some beautiful green tones.
