An original painting titled "Midnight Foraging" is inspired by those after-dinner strolls where the stress of the day has slipped away and the world feels a little slower. The kind of walks where you wander past overhanging gardens and wild corners of public reserves and just snip a stem or two to bring home.
There’s something playful about those borrowed blooms, a tiny act of rebellion that ends up living peacefully in a vase on the kitchen table. This painting celebrates the joy of stolen moments and simple treasures.
With a background of pastel pink, peach and blue, plus my signature base layer painting created with a textile squeegee. The main focus is the two vases with single stems in each. The soft base painting is complimented by the teal and purple flowers and vases.
