Lumino the Dentist - Printed Vinyl Mural - Auckland Mural Artist

I have such a soft spot for murals, especially when they get to live in spaces people visit every day. This printed vinyl mural was created for Lumino the Dentists in Remuera after the lovely Donna saw my work on Instagram and reached out while they were renovating their reception space.

The design was colour-matched to Lumino’s brand palette and adapted specifically for the space, resulting in a custom mural that feels cohesive, modern, and deeply connected to the native botanicals you can find around Auckland. This approach gives some serious visual impact but it's also super durable and practical for commercial interiors. Those walls get a lot of love!

For this project, the budget was tight so we pulled from my existing body of NZ native floral art, using kōwhai flowers as the hero motif. Native botanicals are a recurring theme in my work... they’re beautiful for one, but also a meaningful way to acknowledge the whenua (land), and they translate beautifully into both large-scale murals and repeatable NZ native patterns.

Although I'm based 3 hours away and my ability to travel to install an Auckland mural with a babyin tow was tricky chose. So a big shout out to the team at Big Colour for the print and installation.
