Max & Louie - Illustrations

You know when you get an inquiry from a client and everything in my being was screaming YES, LET'S DO IT! This is one of the those projects and the ideas started spinning right away.

Natalie from beauty brand Max & Louie got in touch after seeing an instagram post of a page in my sketchbook! Nat wanted me to create a beautiful print for use on her cosmetic brand postal packaging.

Since Nat lives locally here in Pāpāmoa Beach, I was able to pop into her studio and talk through the collab. It was great to see which Max & Louie products would be the most interesting to draw. I made sure to select diverse forms across her beautiful product range, along with getting a good feel for the overall vibe of her brand.

I sketched a lot of iterations of each product to explore the different angles. For the next part of the creative process, I pulled them through to Adobe Illustrator and digitized all the sketches and cleaned up the linework.

Finally I created a hero print which you can see here, along with individual illustrations that Nat could use on her social media channels.
